Hubble bubble, toil and trouble…

This topic is flying around blog networks faster than you can say "Bush is a wanker" ...so I'll join in!

The Administration (apparently something like the mysterious "management" in that Carnivale TV series!) wants to suspend funding on further service missions to the Hubble Space Telescope.

What would this achieve? Humans are explorers and we need to look out into the stars to see where we are going. The telescope can also tell us where we have come from and at what stage our evolution is at. We have to find these answers in the Universe so we can survive, not only on this planet but out there...

Fever Pitch

My hay fever is still driving me crazy. There's house work to be done that I've put on hold in case I stir up dust. There's grass to be mowed and schrubs to prune, but don't want to disturb the pollen. I'm usually over this silly fever by the end of the first week of January. It's now Australia Day and I can't remember having it stay on so long.

TypeLists

The thing I've noticed about these typelists is you can't easily add album cover art. Yes, I'm in the process of updating some of my lists as well as my favourites on the web page.

Tony and I spent new years eve at his flat in Hobart. We spent the day at the Taste of Tasmania and had a meal at The Metz in Sandy Bay that evening. Usually the done thing to do is watch the new years fireworks down on the docks. But I was sound asleep by 11pm. The fireworks did wake me up though.
